With the increased recognition of Ilchi Lee’s book “The Call of Sedona”, more people are becoming interested in Sedona and Mago Garden internationally. This is very encouraging for Tao Fellowship because reading this book provides an easy access to the spirit of Mago for those who care about people and the planet.

In the book Ilchi Lee describes how he found Mago Garden and the importance of Mago Garden to the growth of Tao in the US and the world. Through the past 13 years Mago Garden has been the home to many students of Tao from America, Korea, Japan and around the world.

In many ways, the book “The Call of Sedona” is a letter of gratitude from Ilchi Lee to the land where he feels most at home and how much he feels that Sedona can inspire and awaken others to the power and call of their soul. It is also a testament to the will of one person and despite all his odds, made his dreams come true. Ilchi Lee said, “If you need a dream, or if you need to rediscover a dream you’ve lost, come here to Sedona.”

This week, the book’s publisher, BEST Life Media, is giving readers of The Call of Sedona, the chance to experience Sedona and Ilchi Lee for themselves with a 3-day getaway including airfare, accommodation and private sessions.

For details, please visit www.callofsedona.com.

The areas around the casitas are being changed to give our members and visitors a more serene and delightful atmosphere for personal meditation and relaxation.

Most vehicle traffic is advised to use the driving path along the property line instead of the current main road that goes from the dining hall to Earth hall. So those who walk through the main road won’t be bothered by passing vehicles.

Starting from around the casitas, Sedona Mago Retreat will continue to improve other major meditation spots and paths on the grounds. Next time when you come to Sedona Mago Retreat, please expect to see an even more beautiful design of the land.

The masters and staff in Sedona Mago Retreat don’t agree. Tao Fellowship has meditation and prayer time (Chun-Go) in our regular daily routine twice a day. We will still keep the same schedule for these daily practices. The change is that the morning Chun-go is now running around the property of Sedona Mago Retreat instead of regular indoor meditation and prayer.

Through this morning activity, we feel the energy of Sedona Mago Retreat more closely. It is a more active way of offering our love to this beautiful garden of Mago. Becoming physically stronger is one of the benefits of course. Through these changes, we desire to create a more lively energy that will spur our members and visitors to create the changes that we need for our planet and for all life forms that are on it in the meaningful year, 2012.

This training is to help young people develop leadership skills through the spirit of Tao, which is to harmonize the world and benefit humanity, and eventually become the future leaders of tomorrow.

Programs included outdoor meditation, team building and creating a vision. The training culminated with the ceremony in which they offered their vision to Grandfather DahnGuhn, who founded the tradition of Sun Tao in Korea 5,000 years ago.

After the ceremony, the members enjoyed the starry night sky which was one of the most inspiring experiences for the group. They shared that through this leadership training they found their passion in their hearts to help others and to make the world a better place for all.

Recover Tao within, Heal Your Whole Self, Live Fully

Ultimate healing comes when you get connected to your true nature, Tao. The journey to find Tao within is one of the most meaningful, rewarding, and joyful experiences in your life.

In order to get connected to Tao within, you need to pass through multiple layers of resistance and obstacles such as habits, negative thoughts (doubt), and negative emotions (fear). In many cases, these forms of resistance and obstacles are associated with unaccepted painful emotional experiences. These unaccepted experiences may be the cause of health problems or symptoms in the body. By accepting these experiences, they become integrated into your Whole Self, relieving the symptoms or problems they helped to cause. This integration brings you power, wisdom, peace and healing.

Through this program, you will learn to communicate with your body, to listen to the messages from your body and become deeply connected with your Whole Self. Healing is a natural outcome of this recovery of the inner connection and self-awareness.

Slant your body to one side. Now you know that you are slanted, don’t you? How do you know that you are slanted when you are slanted? Because of your sense of balance which is not affected by any body-position that you take.

You know that you are not truthful when you are not truthful. How do you know that you are not truthful when you are not truthful? Because… you are truthful. No matter what you do or what you say, there is absolute truthfulness inside you which is not affected by what you say or do.

This absolute truthfulness is not what you have achieved through your own effort. If you had to create absolute truthfulness through your own effort, there would be no hope for humanity. Just recall how many times you have not been truthful today so far. But also remember that you were clearly aware that you were not truthful when you were not truthful… because you are always truthful deep inside.

This truthfulness has been there all the time. This is the foundation of what we call conscience.
You cannot choose not to have truthfulness inside of you, because it is already there within you. Your choice is whether to acknowledge and accept this as an integral part of yourself or to deny it and stay in ignorance. Acknowledging it is an enlightenment, and denying it is ignorance. It is purely choice.

Acknowledging Tao within is not the end of the story. It is just the beginning. While acknowledging Tao within as your true nature, you also know there is a huge gap between your true nature and your character (the collection of your habits and beliefs). Practice, in its spiritual sense, means closing the gap between your true nature and your character, with the hope that someday this gap will be closed and your character manifests your true nature. Then, your whole life becomes Tao Living, becoming one with Tao. Even though you are not there yet, it is important to know your destination. Recognizing your destination is the true beginning of the journey. Before that, life is, at best, a wandering.

You cannot close this gap just by knowing about Tao. You can close this gap by living Tao. Tao is not only what you need to know. It is what you need to live by. Knowing Tao is wisdom, and living it is virtue.
