A Special Retreat: The Call of Sedona

The Call of Sedona BookFrom November 11 through 14, a special retreat will be hosted at Sedona Mago Retreat. During this retreat, the participants will be guided through the spiritual journeys that Ilchi Lee went through to find Tao within. His journeys have been explained in his new book “The Call of Sedona”. In this book, he describes how Sedona played an integral role in shaping his vision for Hong-Ik, widely benefiting humanity and creating peace on Earth.

Ilchi Lee first came to Sedona in 1996 after many months of looking for a place in America to share his philosophy and enlightenment with others. Through Sedona’s breathtaking beauty and strong vortex energy he found a place where his soul felt awake. He decided that Sedona would be the best place to awaken others to the heart of the earth and to their soul. He famously said, “Sedona is beautiful, but there is something more beautiful than Sedona, your soul.”

In the book Ilchi Lee describes how founded Mago Garden and Tao Fellowship and the importance of Mago Garden to the growth of Tao in the US and the world. While meditating at Bell Rock, he saw a vision of a man, who he later learned was Lester Levenson, a spiritual teacher who had died two years earlier. Lester Levenson’s spirit guided Ilchi Lee to a land in Sedona that was currently not in use. Lester told Ilchi Lee that this was the place where he could start his work. Ilchi Lee wanted the land but was struggling with questions of finances and operations. Eventually, even with daunting challenges anticipated, he founded Tao Fellowship to take over the land as a place to educate the public about the spirit of Tao and the vision of a peaceful world. This is how “Sedona Mago Retreat” (Mago Garden) was born. Through the past 13 years Mago Garden has been the home to many students of Tao from America, Korea, Japan and around the world.

In many ways, the book “The Call of Sedona” is a letter of gratitude from Ilchi Lee to the land that he feels most at home and how much he feels that Sedona can inspire and awaken others to the power and calling of their soul. It is also a testament to the will of one person and despite all his odds, made his dreams come true. Ilchi Lee said, “If you need a dream, or if you need to rediscover a dream you’ve lost, come here to Sedona.”

It is to celebrate the message of the book “The Call of Sedona” that Sedona Mago Retreat hosts this special retreat. This special retreat will be also a rare opportunity for people to learn directly from Ilchi Lee as he will share his experiences and inspirations with participants.
