Volunteering

Volunteering at Sedona Mago Retreat is an opportunity to cultivate yourself. Sedona Mago Retreat is seeking volunteers who are mature, motivated, and committed to honesty, diligence, and responsibility. As a volunteer, you are entitled to participate in many of our rituals and ceremonies, receive guidance from masters, and explore the diverse disciplines of Tao Fellowship while serving in one of the following departments: Facilities, Household, Programs, and Offices. Depending on the organization’s needs, we may assign volunteers to work in other areas as well.

Volunteer Program Curriculum
The volunteer program is an educational service opportunity that supports Tao Fellowship’s vision and mission. The program curriculum addresses three major themes of discipline: Healing, Ki-Gong, and Meditation. Upon arriving at Tao Fellowship, volunteers will receive a syllabus outlining course topics. Volunteers meet every Tuesday, 4:30–6:00 pm for volunteer workshops. The structure of these workshops alternates between lecture-based classes, experiential trainings, and peer coaching.

Application Process
To work as a volunteer at Mago Retreat Center, a minimum three-month commitment is required. You may extend your volunteering by the month. A tuition fee of $200 per month goes toward your monthly stay as a volunteer at our Retreat Center. The tuition fee is due upon acceptance into the program in order to hold your place in the program. Cancellation Policy
If you cancel 14 or more days prior to your arrival date, your payment will be refunded less a $50 application-processing fee. If you cancel between 13 days and 1 day in advance, a nonrefundable credit (less a $50 processing fee) will be held for one year from date of issue (this can be used toward any Sedona Mago Retreat program). No credit or refund is available in the event of the following situations: if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance; if you cancel on arrival day; if you are a no-show; or if you leave the program for a reason other than one that constitutes an emergency.
