Sedona Mago Retreat (Mago Garden) is located 16 miles southwest of Sedona, Arizona, between Sedona and Cottonwood. It is 3 hours away from the Grand Canyon, 2 hours north of Phoenix and 1 hour south of Flagstaff.

Shuttle companies provide shuttle service from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport to Mago Information Center. Sedona Mago Retreat provides shuttle service to and from the Mago Information Center for a nominal fee.

Weather in Sedona is cooler than other Arizona locations because of its 4,500-foot altitude. Typical desert weather is warm or hot in midday and can cool considerably at night. Sedona weather is subject to summer monsoons, bringing heavy, short rains. Check the forecast before coming. Wearing layers is recommended.

Directions from Phoenix: Take I-17 North to the Cottonwood Exit (#287). Turn left and follow Hwy 260 toward Cottonwood for 12 miles to the intersection of Hwy. 89A. Turn right going toward Sedona. Go through two traffic lights. When you see 761 or Bill Gray Rd sign turn left on Bill Gray Rd. The first building on the right is the Mago Information Center. Bill Gray Road is an unpaved Forest Service Road. Follow this dirt road for approximately 10.8 miles until you see the sign for Ilchi Road on your right side. Turn left at this sign, cross the cattle guard, and go approximately 1,000 feet to the Sedona Mago Retreat’s main gated entrance.

Directions from Flagstaff and Northern Arizona: Take 89A S. through Sedona toward Cottonwood until you find 761 or Bill Gray Rd sign and turn right on Bill Gray Rd. You may also take I-17 S. from Flagstaff to the Sedona exit (for Hwy. 179), follow 179 into Sedona and turn left on Hwy. 89A (going toward Cottonwood). Follow Hwy. 89A through Sedona until you see sign 761 or Bill Gray Road on your right side, and turn right onto Bill Gray Rd. From this point, follow the directions stated above (from Mago Information Center to our main location).

CAUTION: If you use GPS, it may lead you to Forest Service Road 525, but 525 passes through the private property of our neighbors. Tao Fellowship requests all our staff, members, visitors and contractors NOT TO USE 525. Instead, please go straight on Hwy 89A to Mago Information Center and take Bill Gray Road.

At the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, you can rent a car or use the public shuttle service (800-448-7988/928-282-2066). If you use the shuttle service, please call to arrange our Pick-up Service (from the Information Center at the entrance of Bill Gray Rd to our main location).
